Mineral oil: paraffin oil, paraffin wax, petroleum jelly - a byproduct that coats the skin to retain moisture. It does not clog pores, interferes with the ability of the skin to eliminate toxins, stimulate acne and other disorders. Can cause photosensitivity and strips natural oils from the skin causing cracks and dryness, also premature aging.

Nitrosamines: You can bring in products from skin care in combination with amines, formaldehyde releasing agent conservation. Nitrosamines are known carcinogens.

Padimate-O: (also known as octyl dimethyl) - mainly in sunscreens. It is feared that the energy absorbed by this sunscreen is then turned into free radicals which can actually increase the risk of skin cancer.

Parabens: Widely used as preservatives in the products of skin care. Studies suggest it can cause cancer and interfere with body's endocrine system and cause allergic reactions and rashes.

Phenol Phenol: Found in many lotions and skin creams. Can cause circulatory collapse, paralysis, convulsions, coma and even death by respiratory failure.

Polyethylene Glycol: Widely used as an emulsifier and humectant. Suspected carcinogens.

Rancid Natural Emollients: Natural oils used in products for skin care must be cold pressed.
When oils are refined, they are stripped of essential nutrients and fatty acids contain Tran also toxic. Natural oils may also become rancid if stored beyond their expiration date.

Toluene: From oil or coal tar, and is found in most synthetic fragrances.
Other names may include benzoic and benzyl.
Chronic exposure linked to anemia, decreased blood counts, liver damage or kidney, May and affect the developing fetus.

Triclosan: an antibacterial agent widely used in products for skin care (also used in herbicides). There is evidence to suggest triclosan may contribute to the creation of strains of bacteria resistant to antibiotics because of its widespread use in products for skin care.
