What is the event where the mixture of chlorine and hydrogen peroxide?

I found a bucket with a lot chlorine tablets for swimming in my garage and hydrogen peroxide. I had a little fun mixed in water bottles and Small bombs, but when I have a good smell of gas was creating, it smelled horrible and made me cough uncontrollably. I thought the reaction would be something like this: H2O2 + Cl2 -> 2 HCl + O2, but the horrible smell of gas, oxygen could not be could it? The equation for all the media could be wrong, or it may be impurities in the chlorine and hydrogen peroxide. My guess is both, but if anyone has information it would be nice, thank you.

The chlorine tablets are probably hypochlorite calcium, which is Ca (ClO) 2, even when mixed with a benign gas than CO2, produces chlorine gas and CaCO3 byproducts. Peroxide is a strong oxidant is calcium hypochlorite if so I would not expect these two to react vigorously. But gas is definitely the smell of chlorine gas. This is a marked departure from Glass' signature interwoven fabrics of sound. Not that the epic length arpeggios are gone, but they do not signify the total of the music itself. In places, the score approaches rock music in feel. There is beautiful work by the vocal ensemble. A surprising and unexpected element comes in the form of Ginsberg's own voice, whose unique sense of inflection draws the confused listener in; no matter what he is saying, Ginsberg always sounds like he is delivering great news. One of the stronger imperatives here is a call to action for the people of America -- not to sit idly while the world continues to happen around them. There are many strong Buddhist references on this disc (both Glass and Ginsberg are adherents). The only low point is that it may be very off-putting to those familiar with Ginsberg's work to hear many of these oft-repeated passages again -- this time put to music. It would have been most exciting to hear new or unreleased work from Ginsberg for this production. To the initiated it comes off like reheating a soufflé.
